Linus and Charlie Brown are walking. Linus says, "I've just come to realize something.."<br> <br> He continues, "I never knew it before, but Lucy really resents my having been born..she's wanted a sister like you have!"<br> <br> They lean against the wall. Charlie Brown says,'Well, it's like my aunt Marian always says, you can choose your friends, but you can't choose your relatives"<br> <br> Linus grimaces and exclaims,"Your aunt Marian is wonderfully wise!"<br> <br>
Maybe it’s the same Marian! Marian, Mrs Gray and Mrs Brown might be three sisters – the future Mrs Gray went to college, married a wealthy and successful man, spent years not talking to her inferior sisters (hence why Charlie Brown doesn’t know Violet when she first appears), recently moved back to the neighbourhood and now spends all her time talking about the many ways in which her husband is better than Mr Brown; a trait which her daughter Violet has picked up!
