Snoopy wears a military war helmet and looks through a barbed wire fence.<BR><BR> Snoopy sits at a table and thinks, "Another root beer please . . ."<BR><BR> Linus stands in front of the class and says, "This is my report on 'D-Day,' June 6, 1944."<BR><BR> Linus begins, "Fifty years ago the allies were poised to begin the invasion of Normandy . . No one, however, knew when that day would be . . No one but an unknown soldier sitting in a tiny pub drinking root beer who came to a startling conclusion . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy sits at a table with a mug of root beer and thinks, "'Fieldmarschall' Rommel is in charge of defending the beaches of Normandy . . But his wife's birthday is June 6!! He's sure to go home for her birthday! He won't be in Normandy!!"<BR><BR> Linus says, "The unknown unsung hero rushed to a phone to call General Eisenhower."<BR><BR> Snoopy runs in the street and thinks, "D-Day has to be June 6!"<BR><BR> Linus continues, "Speaking in code, the simple soldier made a phone call that changed the course of history . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy stands in a phone booth and says, "Woof!"<BR><BR>
Unfortunately, the soldier got the wires of his fantasies cross and ended up dialing General Pershing instead.
