That’s Original Patty.

Her name is Patty (not to be confused with Peppermint Patty, who was introduced later). Patty was one of the earliest characters introduced to the strip, but was eventually phased out in the ’70s.

I think it says 1967.

Patty was actually one of the Original Four, along with Shermy, Snoopy and Charlie Brown. Schroeder (introduced as a baby) and Violet were the next two additions, followed by Lucy and Linus (who was also introduced as a baby).

You show them what a Beagle can do, Snoopy!

Yes, but when I said “introduced later”, I meant that Peppermint Patty was introduced significantly after the original Patty character, not that she was introduced after this strip ran.

Well, original comes from the fact that she is the 1st character named Patty. Peppermint Patty came after her, but is often just referred to as Patty. So I say original Patty to avoid confusion.

And good to see her again!

I remember reading this story arc in a Peanuts book back in elementary school. In 1980 or so. I can’t believe this brought back such a distant memory. Always loved Peanuts, and always will….
