At that age it seemed like a year lasted forever so it seemed difficult to blow one. By mid teens seemed like years were starting to go by too quickly so it became easier to blow one. Now some years seem like just a couple of days go by after New Years Day and then suddenly it’s Christmas Day will other years seem at first to drag their heels right up to October then you blink and it’s Christmas day. With the way that goes kinda hard at times to feel like you’ve accomplished something during the year rather than squandering your chances.

That’s the way most people feel at the end of the year, whether they admit it or not, Charlie.

I disagree Charlie Brown. I enjoy your life’s adventures every day in 2015 and looking forward to 2016. Peanuts is one of my favorite comics since I was a child over 40 years ago. Charlie Brown, you did not blow a year. You have given us allot to look out for and learn from. Peanuts is an enjoyable comic strip to read every day. Looking forward to tomorrow’s.

    New Year’s Reflections

In New York City people crowdTo watch the lighted ball descendThey count the seconds all as oneTo mark another yearly end

As people cheer and dance aboutWe all reflect on what has passedWhat has gone on in daily livesAround this planet wide and vast

The miracles both great and smallNew friendships made and old ones keptThe loved ones gone and still aroundJoyous laughter, sadness wept

The little things that brought a smileThe great events in distant landsSmall victories both won and lostThe kisses, hugs and holding hands

Another year has come and goneAnother Auld Lang Syne is sungThe ball descends, the clock chimes 12A brand new year has now begun

I gave my new 2016 Lang calendar away as a gift I needed, at the last minute. Now I haven’t a nice new calendar of my own to put up tomorrow.

Yep, he blew it. Another year has gone by without him getting another year older.

    Remember Charlie Brown…

And now, the end is near; And so I face the final curtain. My friend, I’ll say it clear, I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain.

I’ve lived a life that’s full.I’ve traveled each and every highway; And more, much more than this, I did it my way.

after 1st grade I told myself I did not want to go back to Catholic school. I remember syanding in our morning prayers and pledge to the flag and just hated it for 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th. I finally just stopped going to school or just left, so my parents finally put me in public school – the best day ever.ps. I got the best grades in my class, and when I was put in public school, I was way behind. They can teach you to kneel, pray and accept your fate, but not so good at what we need in life.

Most comic series are like the move Groundhog Day. The characters never age. The difference is, in the comics, the characters repeat the same mistake over and over and suffer the same fate over and over and never learn.
