To paraphrase a Vogon guard…THe hours are good, though now you come to mention it, most of the actual minutes are pretty lousy. Except some of the shouting I quite like: “Resistance is…”
@F6F5Hellcat: In my opinion that’s also a good thing. The original b/w-strip shouldn’t be replaced by the colorized version. So it makes sense to give the col-strip its own date. The year of the original publication date is mentioned, that’s good enough for me.
I’ve never thought Schulz would like what the colorists do to his originals. Some of the other old classics are in the original black and white, whereas others are colorized here. (My morning paper’s daily comic strips are still in black and white, which I’ve never minded a bit.)
@mabrndtAh, ok. I know a newspaper which runs the colored version, that’s why I thought they are only in color now.@GodfreydanielThe colorist has the power to destroy or to distort the strip. Fortunately, the Peanuts colorist does a good job, imo (most of the time, I ’ve seen some mistakes mentioned here). However, if I want to read more than one strip then I prefer them b/w and printed on paper.

So if it’s no longer your year, Lucy, whose year have you horned in on? Better hope it’s not little brother’s!

I had several Peanuts comic strip books as a kid in the 70’s. I remember the “this is my year” series distinctly.

The only thing each year has in common is that good things and bad things happen.
As for it being 365 days long… Well it’s 366 this year.
