One time, when I was 17, I went on a date to a local rollerskating place that was popular. I donāt skate but wanted to see the place. I held onto my dateās arm while I tried to keep my feet under me. I was getting the hang of it when I saw a friend come in. I turned to my date & said, āI see a friend; Iām going to go over & say āheyā.ā I was really doing well; I turned a corner perfectly & was really proud of myself. I raised my arm & called to my friendā¦forgetting to watch where I was going. My skates hit the border between the skating floor and the carpeted lobbyā¦WHAM I landed right on my butt! My friend came over & introduced me to his friend, who had just come into town. I smiled at his friend & said, āHiā¦please help me up.ā And THAT is how I met my husband.
