I wonder what the other days of the week are like for secretaries (probably VERY hectic on Saturdays for Mondays’ deadlines)

Are we even allowed to refer to someone as a “secretary” these days?

You gotta admire a hardworking secretary like Woodstock.

Wednesday is actually my “down” day. I have specific tasks for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (I don’t work Fridays), but Wednesday is wide open most weeks.

You need to stop generalizing about Secretaries

When I was in Engineering Procurement for the phone company, our customers were the guys in the field who installed and maintained the equipment. I worked really hard to get them what they needed, and since a lot of it was legacy equipment it often wasn’t easy. But I learned a valuable lesson from one of my managers. One afternoon I went over to get her help finding something. She wearily looked up at me and said, “It’s after 2:00 on Friday. Nobody cares.” And it was true. Those guys started early, worked long and often overtime. By Friday pm, it was wind-down time.

What would Charlie Brown do without Snoopy and Woodstock? There would definitely be a whole without them.

I don’t think so Snoopy, I worked my patootie off in every secretarial job I had.

Something I forgot. When I was little my mother got for me a tiny little typewriter. It actually worked. Little page-shaped paper came with it. Ink could be added. Knowing the layout of the keys was essential to avoid using magnifying glass. My mom got for me something like a narrow stylus which nowadays is used on tablets or phones. Made little notes other little kids could read. Also made tags and notes for gifts. Some of us kids would sometimes pretend we were making secret spy messages.
