Mmmm…Coffee. Essential to night shift work-not that high priced froo-froo stuff from the barista’s, just good ole Mrs. Olsen’s (for those of you around in the 70s-don’t want to plug the brand name in the red can Columbian mixed mixed with mail order brand with the Swedish name French Vanilla mixed in a ratio of 2 scoops to 3 scoops brewed in a stainless steel Farberware percolator. 32-48 ounces per day straight up.

I’ve tried a few coffees. They didn’t like me. It’s a good thing I didn’t like them either.

Ever tried coffee in Sweden? Ive never tried coffee from US, but those who have said its VERY much weaker. Dont overly like it, but its good keeping me awake.

As a Type I Diabetic, I have developed a taste for ‘bitter’ flavors. I guess it’s kinda like someone who really enjoys the pain of hot spicy food. I find STRONG coffee is delicious and sweet flavorings usually ruin it.

Someone else tried coffee, very funny.

My mother, brought up by a proper Victorian, had an answer for everything. You want wine? You get a very little sip from your very own, very little “wine” glass (a footed juice glass.) You want coffee? You get a sip from Dad’s, who drank his sweet, with an extra dollop of milk added, the exotic “cafe au lait.” I was ever so sophisticated…at five! And while I do have a non-stop coffeepot going, I never had a problem with alcohol, not even as a curious teenager. It just wasn’t an issue.

I take my coffee like my women… Plain.

I like the smell of coffee. I like coffee ice cream. But I do not drink coffee. I do not like it.

Yeah, I love coffee, just not black coffee.

For me, coffee needs to be super strong to cure the hangovers caused by one too many Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters.
