Somewhere in the great weather machine in the sky, there is a memory bank the size of a mountain range just to store data on every snowflake that ever existed. It compares new ones to old, and automatically sends perfect matches to be melted and recycled as raindrops.

I’d hope that most kids Phoebe’s age would know the scientific principles behind the appearance of rainbows.

Either that or polka dot rainbow. Whichever comes first.

I have seen many comics that get the color order wrong. This one seems to pass. Good job, unicorn.

As I recall, with a double rainbow the inner bow reverses the order.

I’ve never been able to tell apart the last two colors of the rainbow in real life. It looks like only one color to me.

I’m sure Marigold would probably refuse to inspect a sonic rainboom.

I remember ROY G BIV. It’s not a very good mnemonic, though. Anyone know of a better one?

Dear Marigold. History indicates that if something even so ephemeral as a rainbow were left to the devices of ANY sentient being on this planet we’d have been a cinder a very long time ago. So, take a breath…

A great illustration of the difference between comic art and reality. I have never seen a real rainbow with such vivid and distinctly separated colors. I painted one like that on a project for my granddaughter recently.
