I’ve never understood this issue! I’m a woman and I never sit on a toilet without looking at it first! However everyone should be putting the toilet seat and lid down before they flush! They’ve tested this out (on Mythbusters and other places) and when you flush toilet water (and anything in it!) sprays out into the bathroom, onto the counters etc
