My mom still has an old console tv in the porch. Had to replace it because the picture had faded to the point that you couldn’t watch it in the daytime without drawing the curtains. She couldn’t part with it because it was such a beautiful piece of furniture. You’ll never hear anyone saying that about a flat screen.

I have an axe that belonged to Abe Lincoln. Of course its’ had two new heads and three new handles since he used it!

If I traded my old TV in for a flatscreen where would I place the multi-system VCR, the double VCR and DVD recorder that’s on top of that and the multi-system DVD player that rests on that?

An old television that has lasted 20 years versus a new television that might last 2 years. Hard choice ;-) Given what is on television read a book or go to the internet.

instead of flat she has a fat screen TV, which matches up perfectly with Earl.

Have you ever seen a cat try to jump to the top of a flat-screen TV? It’s not a pretty sight…. (Although, if both the cat and the TV survive it, it’s funny as hell!)

I’ve thought about replacing my SD set with a flat screen HD and thought it would be easier to donate a working TV than to throw away a broken TV. Just some thought food, enjoy. :-)

With changes on viewing tv, one needs to change.

we still have the old 300-watt 30" crt analog in the living room. gorgeous dolby stereo, may never get rid of it.

console TV’s..You can put pictures of your loved ones on

top and even when the TV’s off you can look at those photos

and……smile..

I have an ax like that, except it has the original head and wedges, and only one replacement handle. I don’t know who had it before my grandfather, but that takes it back to the early 1880s at least. Take care of your tools and they will take care of you.
