It’s, unfortunately, a bit anachronistic. People nowadays don’t sit down and hand write Thank You notes. If you’re lucky you might get an ecard, a short email or a shout-out on Facebook !
One of the ( many ) burrs under my saddle is the fact that people don’t take the time to thank someone else – for anything ! Gifts or other acts of kindness are taken for granted and rarely acknowledged. Young people feel entitled and expect , as their right and see no reason to give thank yous for something that they feel is their do.
