I didn’t have time to watch TV this fall but started to play catch up this winter after watching the Christmas specials. October’s commercials sometimes roped me in to watching because they’re a change of pace from our snow. Old news flashes and State of the whatever, however, are just plain irritating.
Said it before. We “DVR” every program we want to watch. Then, playback when it’s convenient for US. Skipping the commercials is a bonus and a timesaver – can watch a one hour program in 40 minutes. Just for the math…..that’s a minute of commercials for every 2 minutes of programming!

back when I remember recording TV programs onto VHS, the commercials got leaked in as well so I have some vivid memories of those commercials

I know how far behind I am in my recorded programs by the holidays they are advertising in the commercials. (but I do fast forward through them)

It seems that the Hallmark channel always has Christmas crap on. My wife watches it, not me. I think she does because she knows it annoys me.

I know, I know. I fell for an emergency weather alert last night … from last week.

I hate when that happens. I keep seeing all the things on my Xmas wish list that I didn’t get.

I confess to having a Blu-ray DVD Player that I have never used.
I guess I’ve reached the age and stage that recording a show for a future time is gambling.
Besides, there’s not a helluva lot on television that’s worth recording.
