We never question it. A restaurant in town sends us a coupon for a free birthday dinner. So on both of our birthdays we go out for a great rib dinner.
And I want there to be no misunderstanding about that!
Oh, she will……
Welcome to senior marriages.
I take my wife to Denny’s for a free breakfast on her birthday. We go there for mine, too.
Where do you wanna go? I dunno, where do you wanna go? (The reason we didn’t go out very often)
My wife’s birthday is Friday and Mother’s Day is Sunday but we’ve planned a weekend getaway from everyone.
What she doesn’t know is that I’ve arranged a Spa Day for her – facial, massage etc. etc.
Who says “Seniors” can’t be romantic ?
My husband is pretty decisive, unless his blood sugar is wonky – then he can’t make any decisions.
My wife asked what I wanted.
“It doesn’t matter.”
“Pick something.”
“What are my options?”
She called them out. I always picked the first she mentioned. She caught on and is unsure what to mention first since then.
