I have a dozen pairs of white socks and one pair each of dark brown and black socks… in case I ever need to attend an event wearing a suit (hasn’t happened in a decade or so). When the white socks start to wear out, I replace the whole dozen at once. Bottom line: I sort no socks (except about once per decade): I just grab the next two and they DO match.
(No, I don’t wear socks with sandals)
