I recognize that look on the wife’s face—have seen that look many, many times ! Ignoring it has gotten me into more trouble than I want to relive ! ! !
I can’t get a list out of her since I lost one. Now I just get last-minute commandments as she drives off somewhere. So I am constantly being jerked around between projects. When I do finish something, I don’t get a “that looks great,” and half an hour to enjoy the satisfaction of completion, just “now do the next thing.”
Even if you do what she asked, you’re wrong. My wife called me and said to bring home some 7-Up. I said, OK, 7-Up. I got home and put the 7-Up on the kitchen table. She said, “Where’s the ginger ale?”

My wife is the main gardener, I redo the drip system, prune, harvest, can, dehydrate and freeze. And cook. Want some 2015 blueberries?
