A while back, my left shoulder started getting sore and hard to raise. Muscle strain from ‘shrugging and hunching’. Mainly caused by shrugging my shoulder while carrying my shoulder bag and by sitting in my well-used easy chair. Between the chair seat settling and me losing a couple of inches in height, the arm rest was too high for my arm to ‘rest’. I learned some exercises to strengthen my shoulder and back muscles, started alternating shoulders for my bag, and got a cushion for my chair.
My brother purchased the new foam for his (fairly new) chairs. I got an old couch that needs help in the cushion area but, it’s about time to retire it.

Can it be fixed by flipping the cushion upside-down?

And a Plugger takes care of that with a piece of plywood under the cushion.
