I do that at work. Bifocals don’t have broad enough field of vision . I have to look at a sheet of paper with lists, then look off into a field to find/match the numbers on the list. Two pair of glasses are now my trademark :D
I only do that in the car/truck because the tinted windows block the UV rays that darken my transition lenses. I also use yellow tinted ones in the winter to cut the glare off the snow and produce more contrast for better depth perception.
I’ve worn glasses for decades now. I was told transition lenses would not work with my Rx. I used flip ups and had Rx sunglasses, until an upgrade and I went back to flip up. I had a pair that had metallic frames and the sunglasses came with them and just stuck on front! Amazing! …until I lost them. I was told about the clip on with little hooks and never looked back! Different shades, different sizes I keep one handy and one for a backup.
I have prescription sunglasses, made as dark as allowed. Some days, especially when the sun reflects off the snow, even those are not dark enough. Those are times I’ve been tempted to add clip-ons.

My dad wears those. There’re extra large so they’ll fit over his glasses.

I actually wear clip-on sunglasses (the ones you flip up or down, not the kind you constantly hook on and off).

I alternate between sunglasses and regular glasses, and just try not to need to read anything in bright sunlight.

My sunglasses not only go over my regular glasses, they are wrap-arounds and the front lenses flip up.

I finally had the cataract surgeries, and can wear sunglasses I like. Does that make me an ex plugger?
