I was born in the Reagan presidency, but don’t have any articles of clothing that still fit me since then.

And smells of moth balls even though it hasn’t been stored with them for twenty years.

When my mom (then only 90) had to give up her house among the things I had to get rid of mine was my wedding dress.

I should have done so decades ago – like before the wedding. It was hideous and looked liked it had been designed by a committee – as it was – my MIL, FIL and husband. I really did not want a wedding – just a ceremony at town hall and MAYBE lunch with our immediate families afterwards.

Took about 5 years before husband agreed it had been a mistake to have a big wedding.
