Pluggers can still drive a manual shift car with clutch, too. That may come in handy again some day.

I’m a plugger and it’s frustrating when my mom will CALL me and read off a URL she saw on TV or in a magazine and start with the …http.. etc. I just say “Please mom just skip to the end part”.

What about the http:// prefix? Anyone still wrote that in the search bar?

Secret helper built into IE/Chrome based browsers… Type the web site name (e.g. gocomics) in the address bar, and hitting Ctrl+Enter will fill in the www. and .com. http:// is usually assumed unless special address prefixes like ftp or ping are explicit.

I finally stopped doing that, but I like this. I also still remember DOS commands and BASIC…
