At the confessional I said, “Father, everyday I hear a voice telling me how bad I am, and chastising me for all the things I’ve done wrong in my life. Am I possessed?”

“No”, said the priest, “just married”.

If nobody heard voices, where would the writers come from?

And I hope you can carry a tune.

Strange that if you hear voices in your head they put you in psychiatric care, but if you hear God they put you in charge of a religion.

Mr Brilliant – we, your loyal subjects, are doing our best to be those voices in your head.
