Lesson for Jeri: Your mother is human, and you pushed her to her breaking point. Don’t do that ever again.

Lesson for Mom: You are human, and you have a breaking point. Next time, disengage or redirect before you let your daughter push you there.

It doesn’t take a village to raise a child…it takes a set of parents with backbones and a working knowledge of the word NO!

That’s right Wordman and spanking is not child abuse if it’s done correctly. But I don’t think a parent should slap a kid’s face.

Jeri would certainly not appreciate being called a “kid.”

its funny how the different comics have such different readers. When the dad in for better or for worse sent the boy to his room for tormenting his sister, there was pages of comments about how that was child abuse. Here a woman actually slaps the kid, but nobody’s complaining. Its like a sociological study.

I think it’s because Jeri’s a teen and a mouthy one at that. If Mom hit Teena well…that might be different. Might.

Mom went too easy on her. She won’t learn anything unless there’s a bruise to cover up.

The_JAM, I know. Having been 13 once myself, I’m fairly confident of my initial comment.

She punked out. What about Jeri telling her mother to shut up? Will there be any accountability? Probably not. Her father is weak too.

Then it’s about time. Some people just won’t learn unless you hit them and hit them HARD !

The age old question. My parents never would have admitted it happened.
