Glowing is an advertising term for minor redness and irritation

Well… at least Teena’s not taking another bubble bath with a dishwasher gel cap.

Initiation into American womanhood…practicing suspending disbelief…buy that stuff. Puts petroleum-based solvents and artificial smells deeply into your living skin…like curing leather.

Why is it that the women I know who use only Ivory soap have the best complexions? Maybe they spend their money on a gym, or running…or on their boyfriends.

@tigre1Ivory soap may be great stuff for most people, but I’m allergic to it. My face takes on a lovely “glowing” complexion, my hands break out in water-blisters, and both itch like crazy. Then my face peels like a bad sunburn.

@tigre1Jeri’s ‘stuff’ reminds me of some of my early dating results.. If I’d been swatted, I woulda created a dust cloud that woulda choked hordes of locusts. Where do wimmin get the idea that more is better?? Oh, wait; magazine ads.See today’s Calvin & Hobbes…I had a better time with girls equipped with a tube of chapstick,4 bux in bills & change and the assurance I wouldn’t peek when they “had to stop” when there were no places to go besides roadside corn-fields.. That convertible Chevvy took us everywhere…Now, it’s up to ‘latest chemo labs and their 70+ year results for that young, young, young-looking skin… No wonder women pay 43% more for stuff than men just to keep themselves ’fashionable,’ ‘hip’ ‘alluring’ and ‘clean’……Even worse, looking through 1890-1920’s newspapers advertising the same hokum for the same purposes. argh….
