While our girls do enjoy going to church (they even asked to be allowed to attend “adult church" instead of going to “children’s church” when they were little), our younger one was very fidgety. One time, during a ladies’ Bible study, I noticed a couple of the women crocheting during the meeting. At first I thought it was rude. Thankfully, conversation turned to them crocheting: it turned out that it actually helped them focus more. We got our girl a crochet set & instructions. Now, she crochets during service, can discuss the sermon after service, and enjoys it even more.
The only way to get my two daughters to go to church was to remind them the church served donuts after the service. I would tell them it was time for the ‘donut mass’.

Dunkin Donuts with the Sundauy papers. Then go to the deli for some hot corned beef, rolls and Guldens mustard.

You have that much trouble getting your girls to church? Maybe a change of denomination is in order…

Their get up and go got up and went. It happens. They seem to be having problems booting it up.

When I was a kid we would stop at Nichols donut shop on the way back from church. Best crullers evah! Now it is a bank parking lot.

I remember back home, the post-church service was Benediction in a local bar.
