Apparently, Scott Stantis had this cartoon prepared before Biden gave his live town hall before an audience of real people in Milwaukee asking questions and getting thoughtful, detailed and, yes, empathetic responses from our new president.
Wrathful? The little girl standing next to her mother, who asked about vaccinations, got a tender, gentle response.
Wrathful? The TRUMP SUPPORTING business owner who worried about the effects of Biden’s proposed minimum wage increases got a thoughtful, detailed and RESPECTFUL response that also expressed acknowledgment of the business owner’s concern and the ways in which any changes would be phased in to make it easier to absorb and to rise commensurate with the overall economic benefit that invariably comes with appropriate increases in minimum wage and offset the economic pressures on small business owners.
Wrathful? The TRUMP SUPPORTER who asked about “defund the police” got a thoughtful answer that expressed support for law enforcement, rejecting the wording of defunding the police, talked about the ways in which Biden wanted to strengthen support for law enforcement (unlike those who cry “law and order” while inciting insurrections that kill uniformed officers) and balanced that with the need for reforms.
Wrathful? There were no verbal “mean tweets,” no name calling, no personal attacks, and none of the vicious Trump vengeance we have suffered under for the last four years. When Texas got hit with problems because deregulation, privatization and quitting the interstate grid apparently left them unprepared for cold weather that many places deal with routinely, and had to beg for aid, Biden did not scold them for not having voted for him, did not demand their governor “say nice things” about him — he just approved the aid.
Biden pledged to be the president for all the people, whether they voted for him or not, and is acting quickly to live up to that standard.

So wonderful to have a REAL PRESIDENT again.
