The financial squeeze on the former president, who says he canāt come up with the cash to appeal his $454 million civil fraud judgment, intensifies his threat to national security. ā
Trumpās predicament is also the latest reminder that his financial challenges make him a national security threat ā something that has been a reality ever since he was elected president in 2016.
Heās always been willing to sell his name to the highest bidder. Thereās no reason to believe that Trump, whose businesses collected millions of dollars from foreign governments and officials while he was president, wonāt have a for-sale sign out now that heās struggling with the suffocating weight of court judgments.
Trump is being criminally prosecuted for allegedly misappropriating classified documents and stashing them at Mar-a-Lago, his home in Palm Beach, Florida.
Without a trial and public disclosure of more evidence, Trumpās motivations for taking the documents are unknown, but itās reasonable to wonder whether he pondered trying to sell them.
Monetizing the White House has been something of a family affair, after all. His son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has been busy trading financially on his proximity to the former president, for example.
Heās truly a vindictive and hate-filled being. Heās called for Liz Cheney to be imprisoned for her actions on Jan 6th committee and the deportation of Prince Harry. Heās is whatever he is, but to those who support him, seriously, how did you get that broken?
The only reason people donāt like Trump is that he won the election over Clinton. After that, some Clinton supporters cut off friendships that had lasted since grade school, many disowned family members that supported Trump, actors & actresses were ostracized as were employees in both blue collar & white collar positions; jobs were lost, lives were changed. Cities and business were burned, crime was rampant, and called peaceful demonstrations. Now what used to be our justice system is being used to prevent a free election, similar to what some other countries do. We need to get back to when Presidential elections consisted of heated discussions (Nixon vs McGovern comes to mind), accept the result, and get on with our lives, not spend years reeking vengeance on those who supported the candidate we didnāt like.

But really, if California gets any more Hispanic, pretty soon places like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento will have Spanish names.

Seems all politicians are divisive these days. With a different set of messages and giveaways depending on the audience. Sigh.
