Concerning today’s Nick Anderson, the world has steadily, for centuries, moved toward greater freedoms with brief set-backs. I would suggest that this blip of weak-minded right-wing populism, will also pass. It sucks to be having to deal with it in the moment, but I believe it will pass.

Concerning today’s John Deering, during the Civil War William Henry Seward was the U.S. Secretary of State. This is the same guy who would talk the U.S. into purchasing Alaska (Seward’s Folly). Seward regularly posited to Lincoln the idea of the North and the South ceasing fighting each other to attack and annex Canada. trumpster fire has referred to Canada as another state. He wants to take over the Panama Canal. He wants to annex Greenland……………………….right-wing populists, how long before you are making excuses for these ideas?
