As Nietzsche said, “Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster.”America, generally, has not been careful and sadly for the most part has itself become a monster. We have allowed the savagery of some to let us become a savage nation (or more so, as there have always been nasty war crimes going on). It is sad that so many people fall into the trap of giving up on their humanity in fear of terrorism, or whatever scares them.
You didn’t think I was serious did you? I was just joking about the absurd minds of the people who think our foreign occupations are fought in the name of freedom.
Its terribly unfair that you have to be such a mean person. We’d be a thousand times better society with more renaissance art jobs than banking, law and financial jobs.
Sometimes I have to go read what Nietzsche said about the last man after reading the idiocy of climate change deniers. I wish they could have some idea how much everyone in the future is going to hate them for getting in the way of dealing with this problem. How can people listen to the oil companies and not climate scientists in this matter. Like Einstein said human stupidity is infinite.
have you skipped having a mind? Yes, its still a matter of the globe getting warmer – does anyone disagree now that the overall temperature is up. But because the earth is so massive it causes various climate changes around the world. Wake the f@#$ up!
you’re being stupid. Look at the sheer volume of carbon fuel we burn every year, look at the millions of years it took animals to get that carbon out of the air and explain your view that humans would be unable to effect climate. You are just aping the views that are pushed by the business of selling carbon fuel. If you had the slightest idea how blindly led you are, you would be ashamed!
et2008, there is no doubt Ted knows who got us into Afghanistan. Perhaps you should double check to see if you aren’t under the persuasion of some metaphorical sweetened beverage if you think a president isn’t responsible for a war after having had three years to withdraw from a nation that has never attacked us.
