Being single means no cooking, so I always think of something that is quick and easy that requires no more then a bowl and spoon, but the best is no dishes; a napkin with do.

yes I also remember being about one and half, getting out of my crib and going to the kitchen and telling my mom “it will be okay mommy” because she was crying. I remember quite a bit from then on. Mind you I did have many traumatic experiences before five and after, so that might have something to do with it.

Dad has planned this out and hoping to soak some TPers. I think Calvin gets his mischief from Dad, who secretly hides his inner self.

Back on New Year’s Eve of 1963, I was 8 years old. I remember crying silently in bed that night because the year was changing from 1962 to 1963. I was very sad because to me time was passing and nothing was ever going to be the same. My life was not changing, just time was moving along with or without me. I also had seen lots of meanness in my little world and I decided that no matter what I would be nice. As I grew older, being kind has always been my thing. I think being kind everyday, doing kind things and making people smile is one of the best feelings. It has nothing to with whether you are atheist or religious, but who you are inside. Just being a kind person and helping others along the way.

@LeadingEdgeThank you for all your comments and help. They are brilliant. I enjoy them and they are about the only ones I read here in the comments, other then leftwingpatriot. and Hobbes when he is here. Thank you and have a great day.

Thanks Leading Edge, I forgot about the story of Samba with the tigers. When I was very young I could never figure out how the tigers turned to butter, but the pancakes always sounded yummy to eat. :D

Calvin’s Mom comes and get Hobbes. Hobbes ambushes Calvin every time he comes through the door after school. One time he tricked Hobbes and locked Mom out of the house. Boy, was he in trouble, but then that is his middle name. Cheers

Sweet. Thank you for sharing your story. I know you must think of your Dad often and I am sure he loved being your Dad.

I absolutely love Calvin and Hobbes, and reading about their adventures everyday. Mr Watterson, you have a brilliant mind.
