ââA house divided against itself cannot stand.â I believe this government cannot endure permanently half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved â I do not expect the house to fall â but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.â Abraham Lincoln
Perfectly normal, theyâre just adding to the billions of deaths and infinite destruction in the name of jesus and earlier terrorists. An american tradition since 1492.
All I can think of is Heinleinâs âStranger in a Strange Landâ. The book took place in a not too distant future and at the start of each chapter was some example of how the world was experiencing what Heinlein called, âThe Crazy Yearsâ. They had fast growing technology but society was too slow and stupid to adapt.
Well, itâs been over 50 years since the book was published and we are now, firmly, in the Crazy Years. And we donât even get the space travel that Heinlein promised. Heinleinâs world had Delos Harriman, the Man Who Sold the Moon. All we have is Musk. The man who is stealing the government.
