Honest to goodness- when my son was in fourth grade, he came home and asked me about this because his teacher had “corrected” him in front of the class when he said, “Frankenstein’s monster.”
She insisted that the creature was, simply, “Frankenstein.”
It’s not a big deal, of course. You just wish people in general, and your kids’ teachers especially, would be more willing to say, “I’m not sure, let’s find out.”
