Dave could have (could’ve) said “should’ve” (a contraction of “should have”) – which will likely sound the same as “should of”. If the Auto Correct was only “listening”, it would not have had to have corrected Dave. Is the Auto Correct “reading” the word balloons (or know how Dave was “thinking” it)?

If only auto correct had an auto correct.

My brain was correcting the first thought bubble before I even got to the second. Yes…misplaced apostrophes drive me nuts, too.

Watching a movie with subtitles yesterday we saw “He should of gone the other way”. There is no hope for the English language.

The number of people who misuse the following; they’re, there, their and, your is staggering. GRRRR!!!!!

Ought to correct.

I call it “ought to correct” because it doesn’t.

Do you say should of, or should have?
