My husband is constantly complaining that “our” cat is underfoot and that someday someone is going to be “seriously injured.” I keep telling him that if he paid any attention to where he was going and what he was doing, he wouldn’t have the problem. I carry loaded laundry baskets to the basement and I haven’t tripped over the cat once. Nor, by the way, have I tripped over him any other time, neither. I have, however, tripped over my husband’s shoes which were in odd places (the middle of a dark room, strewn on the floor at the bottom of the bed…)
