Sensing a theme across many comics/memes: kids are apparently unbearably irritating. I hypothesize that parents gush over their children in the hopes that us childless folks will have kids and be stuck with them like they are. Misery likes company as they say.
The null hypothesis is that parents are just psychotic and/or exhausted.
