Actually Rover has to go back to work very shortly. He’s to stand guard over the home while Red is in school. In addition, he goes back to his regular job, the “Welcome Home, Red! Greeting Spokesdog” Rover impatiently waits by the window or on the porch, depending on the weather and Mom, and springs to action when Red gets off the schoolbus. It’s a tough job but Rover is the Best!
