You haven’t been kissed till you’ve been kissed by a beagle.

BTW – A beagle is not a dog. They are the reincarnation of Harry Houdini the escape artist in a little brown coat and I can’t find the zipper on either of mine!

Brian Basset took all the black ink from his cousin Fred to use on his beagles and his yellow lab!

I remember the first time I heard a beagle howling in the night when I was a kid. I thought it was a ghost until my grandfather told me that a dog had something treed.

Had a beagle-Basset mix back in the day, we referred to him as a “Bagel”. He would accompany me when I attempted to play the harmonica. He was fun but had the wanderlust – couldn’t let him outdoors without a leash – otherwise he was gone.

I thought Rover is basically a Labrador. Or is he really a “Brian Bassett Hound”?: >)

I had two beagles – best dogs. One night about 1 am, I was getting ready for bed, so I let them out in the front yard for their last pee, and there in the middle of my yard, frozen like a deer in the headlights, was a raccoon. They were on him in a flash and had him treed in an instant. Absolute bedlam until I got them back in the house.

My first dog was a Beagle and I have a Beagle now. I can confirm that they make a lot of racket.
