I have been retired three years now. We do rescue so we do stay very busy. But right before I retired one of the ‘old guys’ from my early years showed up at work for a retirement party for another guy. (a bunch of us left at the same time)

He told me ‘you don’t want to quit doing stuff but there’s nothing wrong with just sitting on the porch sometimes and taking it easy either. You’ve worked your whole life so take a minute and enjoy the birds and clouds sometimes’.

I’ve found he gave me some good advice!

Having some down time with your dog is not being lazy.
