Few things are more comforting than when my German Shepard would sleep in fron of my door. Sadly, she passed away earlier this year. :-(’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’

This night I awakened at 3 am wakened up from a melody. I tried to sleep again. At 5 the same started again. Angrily I jumped out of my bed and started to search my whole flat – finally I found an old radio making his final sounds!!

My two little toy dogs protect me at night, for sure with their sudden barking at night! The artwork is so sweet this Sunday!

Even though today’s comic is practically monochrome, I find it very beautiful.

After we lost our dear friend of 18 and a half years we decided no more pets for us. It was just too hard. But we chose to focus on our wildlife and now we have lots of new friends—rabbits, squirrels, flying squirrels, chipmunks, a herd of deer, a raccoon, a family of Grey Foxes, a possum and literally hundreds of birds including sweet hummingbirds, butterflies, bees and moths. Life is all around waiting to be nurtured and loved. Feed the wild things. You will not regret it.

Awww, sweet. My sister recently began homesteading in a geodesic dome in rural Maine, and I and my family are glad she has three dogs (two rough collies and one English Shepherd) to keep her company and alert her to any overnight dangers.

Losing a dog is heartbreaking. I’m sorry for your loss.
