Growing up, we always seemed to have a pet dog. Daily, mom would speak for them in a tiny voice. It became a natural part of everyday household chatter so much so that the dogs became family members.

Such camaraderie! They are really good together;)

I remember reading Nancy in the 1970s. Ernie Bushmiller was still drawing it then. I sometimes read the modern version.

Rover can read Red’s thoughts but not comic strips.
