A traffic light in Dresden, Germany, has been red since 1987- over 28 years! Professional cheese smeller Nigel Pooley of Somerset, England, has his nose insured for 5 million! The Sword of Heaven was forged by Japanese master swordsmith Yoshindo Yoshiwara from a meteorite estimated to be 4 billion years old!

So when is Dresden going to change the light (the whole unit, not the bulb)?
MJKesquire about 9 years ago

More on the Dresden light: RIght turn on red is allowed. The light’s yearly maintenance includes replacing the green and yellow bulbs, though they have never been used. The traffic regulations do not allow for the placement of a stop sign there. I just read this on:

The company that made the fire house bulb closed, no repeat customers.

There was a bulb in a movie theater in Ft. Worth, TX that had burned for about a 100 yrs.In 1952 my Aunt and Uncle bought a house and my Uncle installed a yellow bug light on the front porch. When I tore the house down in 2000, the bulb was still in use.

I have heard (or read) that the main reason light bulbs burn out is because of being repeatedly turned off and on. (But think what it would do to your light bill if you never turned a light off!?)

I’ve heard that the bulb is only about 11 watts, so really it’s not using much electricity!

Personally, I refuse to believe that Yoshindo Yoshiwara was anywhere Close to 4 Billion years old when he made that sword..4 Million at the Most.

Go to Connecticut. The red left turn lights are on all the time, even when the green arrow is on.
