How many calories did Ms. Suzi burn in that half day?

Who cares? I’d like a clarification about the May 1 apartment thing! The comment makes no sense.

The history of moving day. February 1st (renters day) the landlord would come around to say what the new rent was so youd use the spring days to find new lodging. On May 1st all leases would end and everyone would move to a new place or reup the new lease price. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moving_Day_(New_York_City)

Okay, radioactivity is a substance giving off particles or gamma rays. This is confined to unstable elements, usually heavy elements like uranium or plutonium. An animal cannot be radioactive in itself. It is contaminated with radioactive elements. There is a difference.

I bet Rudolph is upset about all the radioactive reindeer. I’m sure that a lot more then just their noses shine brightly!

I’ll bet Suzi is pretty peeved at Ripley for telling the whole world about her bathroom habits.

I guess Rudolph must have been very close to the reactor to make his nose glow so bright!

In Madison the move day is August 1st pretty much because of the UW school year but it’s not a law.

In this area (Mississippi valley) moving day was within a few hours of the levee breaking. Now, that changed – high winds during the flood of 1993 wiped out all houses on the road to Meyer (Illinois). (In the old days, they would move everything to the second floor and wait for the water to go down.)

Hope Suzi doesn’t look that. What an unflattering drawing with a bad wig

The contamination in the reindeer is due to Cs-137 and Sr/Y-90. Both have 30 year half lives. The cesium goes to the muscle tissue that we eat. The strontium like calcium goes to the bone. You can sample the surface material almost anywhere on planet Earth and still see evidence of Chernobyl in the form of these fission products. We naturally have K-40 in our bodies which gives off a high energy gamma ray.

Ripley makes it sound like the clock’s continuation is the amazing part. I wonder how long the break was.
