Rabbits probably seem to be far behind rats when it comes to reproductions.

That’s because most people get off on the right foot.

I think it was this same strip, many years ago, that said if all the baby clams born every year off the coast of New England survived to adulthood, they would outweigh the world.

Mice, clams, rabbits, etc. Most of them were born to be food for something else.

Rats multiply quickly. Is that why we have so many politicians, of both parties?

Not with my cat around. Rats, mice, and other rodents would be gone in about 18 minutes. Saves on the price of cat food, too.

Rats must be quite tasty to predators and serve an important part in the ecology.
