That doesn’t make sense. How then does bubblegum work? It’s sweeter than chewing gum.

So the lady gondolier is licenced as “an authorised substitute”. When do you need a substitute gondolier? I think the wording would have been better if it was……the only licenced authorised gondolier substitute is a female. I still have trouble with “licenced authorised”. If you are licenced aren’t you authorised?

Did I ever tell you that gondoliers are often injured on the job?

Do the albatrosses recognize their chicks if they’ve been shot by a crossbow?

Now I just read that albatross chicks and eggs are being eaten by mice!

How does one get a license for a gondola? Do you take a drivers test and pass if you don’t run into other gondolas or the buildings?

Of course there’s only one female gondolier! It’s far too dangerous to let women get behind tiller of a gondola!
