Caligula, literally “little boots”, the name he got hanging around the legions as a kid, was known for many bizarre displays of power. He once had his engineers line up boats and build ramps across a miles long bay so he could ride his horse one time over the ocean. He led an army to re-invade Britain. Got as far as the English Channel, ordered his troops to pick up sea shells, declared victory, and went home. He would burn crucified Christians at his garden parties for light at night. Great guy. /s.
If you’ve ever read the Shazam comic books, then you know that IBAC is an acronym for Ivan The Terrible, Borgia, Attila, and Caligula, the four most evil men in history.
Here’s a “believe it or not” for you. When the Romans went to a party, they would put a blob of perfumed animal fat on their head, and allow it to melt down over their body to help with odor.
that’s why most history majors/minors won’t listen to the nonsense coming out of self-proclaimed emperors of our states that lean a certain political way. we find many of their mandates just as illogical and silly as Caligula’s the stench

What’s more amazing about the dog selfie booth, is that it is made out of “LEGO” bricks and dispenses a doggie treat too! :D

Don’t take one of my baths. I only have five left before New Year. And that would be a crime!

I bet all of the kids loved Caligula!
“Take your bath now!” “No Daddy, it’s illegal now!” :-)

Notice that on the bust of Caligula, there are no pupils in his eyes. That signifies that he was dead when the bust was carved.

An oasis inside a caldera? Waw!
poppacapsmokeblower about 4 years ago
Is it possible to get to the oasis, since the volcano floor around is lava, old lava, but lava still?

Forced as a child to take baths with his sister really messed that guy up.
Simone then sold the photos to various European puppy porn sites.
Weary Libyan travelers can stop, use the restrooms, eat a burger, buy lottery tickets and purchase a box of Ho-Hos for the road.

Given how big Rome was on bathing, no wonder the Praetorian Guard assassinated him.

“Waw an namus” is Arabic for “Wow, what an anus.”

Sadly, many folks today haven’t heard that it’s no longer a crime…

Our current Caligula needs to clean up his act. Glad he took a bath in the recent election!

Oh, hey, I watched Simone’s video on that project. It’s on youtube.
Also, Caligula was legitimately insane. And not in a fun way.
