I remember seeing movie made in the 1930’s that refered Jimmy Durante’s nose as a “Schnoz” including 1934’s Hollywood Party where he played “Schnarazan”.

Warner Bros. made several cartoons that poked fun at Durante’s nose, including “Book Revue” (1946). He was shown on the cover of a book titled “So Big” (1924) and used his nose to trip the big bad wolf into “Dante’s Inferno.”

I loved Jimmy Durante! And remember him well!
