Throwing mud is about right… since when did the head of a law enforcement agency get the right to offer opinion and speculation about a person who wasn’t charged with a crime?.Imagine if your local sheriff did this. Imagine if they were able to go to reporters and speculate on the competence or abilities of a person, in a way that could bias future legal investigations..That’s an abuse of power, regardless of who is receiving the mud.
