Jimbo: I'm off to work, Pasquale...another thankless day tolling away in anonymity.
Pasquale: Wait, Daddy!
Pasquale: Attaboy!
Jimbo: You're never too old to receive an "attaboy"!
Pasquale: You're never too young to offer an "attaboy"!
He did small appliance repair at home until they stopped making appliances that could be repaired instead of just thrown away. Of course, there is no such place as “away” and it has to go somewhere – generally increasingly toxic land fills. It can’t be assembling them because those jobs have been moved to the sweatshops of Asia. Any suggestions that fit?
His attire suggests, to me anyway, a clerk in a hardware store. However, his comment suggests accountant or office worker, maybe inside sales/customer service with an industrial parts company.
I do software support by phone and email, so I don’t have to dress up at all. No direct Customer contact. We wear t-shirts, jeans or shorts (depending on CA weather) and shoes/flops …. very casual office – I love it. Even boss and company president dress very casual. (sorry, not hiring at this point.)

The lunchbox makes me think ‘construction worker’, though that doesn’t sound right.
