The name for those things is Elizabethan collar and I always hated it when any of my dogs had to wear one. The dogs were so uncomfortable! Now all I have are cats and so far, none of them have had to wear one.
My cats are incredibly sociable. They would love to go and play with the other animals at the vet’s – dogs and cats alike. I think they forget what species they are.
I’ll think twice before dressing up my dog in one of his ‘outfits’. I kept the cone one of my kittens had after major surgery. It was made of a soft material…haven’t ever reused it though.

Two of my cats had to wear a cone. One just fell over and refused to move and the other ran backwards around the house trying to escape it.
