Pffft. Winter grilling is easy. Try winter smoking of a Boston Butt or some ribs or even bacon.

Grilled food is wonderful for those who appreciate the flavor charcoal or wood can convey to meat and vegetables. Cold weather makes standing beside the grill more enjoyable. I have grilled in 14" of snow. Like anything else, you dress for the occasion.C.

I too have shoveled a path to the grill.

The grill needs to be closer to the house. It is in the Summer…

I don’t mind grilling in the winter, as long as it’s not something I have to pay a lot of attention to, or as long as the North wind isn’t blowing. The two of those things together means the food gets fixed inside.

Brats and tailgate parties are a must for any Packers home game. It may as well be the law it is so essential to being a Packer Backer.

Years ago when I lived in Chicago the hard part was finding charcoal in January. The stores would look at you like you were crazy.

My BBQ is right outside my deck door. I can pop in and out and check on what’s grilling. It is electric tho so it won’t do me any good if the power is out. Hardly ever here.

My BIL used to live in Oklahoma. My wife has a photo of him (somewhere) faithfully tending his grill, wearing a duster and a cowboy hat along with a nice pair of winter gloves. Oh, and it’s snowing. And it’s been snowing: There’s significant accumulation in the photo.

He’s also a winter warrior; why didn’t he shovel a path first?
