Rose: It smells delicious! What kind of sandwich is it? Jimbo: It's cracked pepper smoked turkey with cajun mustard...you're welcome to try it...be warned...it's spicy! Rose: Maybe... Vicki: Just... A bite. Rose: Aren't you going to eat your applesauce?

Long, long time ago, in a previous Rose is Rose universe, when Pat Brady did this strip alone, he would explore a side of Jimbo that we never see anymore..Back in the day, Jimbo was revealed to be one of those very special people who believes, with all his heart, that fat women are more beautiful and much more desirable than thin women..In these rare, but precious storylines, he would fantasize and imagine Rose being every bit as fat as Mee-Maw is today..Yes, I know I’m weird, but I found those to be some of the most touching and heartwarming stories in this strip..Don’t know if I’m alone, but I sure wish Don Wimmer and Pat Brady would revisit this long abandoned bit of character development..On the other hand, I don’t know if it could be done now..There is no “political correctness” for fat people.
